Use a hammer. If it still doesn't budge use a bigger hammer. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.
Sorry. Couldn't resist.
How long has it taken so far? I need to do the same with my car and will follow this thread with interest.

Yo.
Got crafty on the LWE and decided to replace the heater core as it died long before I bought the car.
I removed the dash, that's another story, to get at it.
Now I have undone both nuts in the engine bay, unscrewed the front air difuser, disconnected both side air pies. unclipped it from the blower, disconnected the control cable from underneath.
Now from what I have read there is nothing else to undo but the bastard won't budge!

Finally got the bastard out.
Was another one of those metal clips.
Matt, I saw the 3rd nut in the engine bay but it looked like it was for the blower and A/C
The heater box has a lot of dead foam in it. What do I need to do to replace it all?
I was told just to go to clark rubber. What glue would I use?

Benough, my heater is R/S (blows freezing air) so I assume I need to do the same. Did you buy the new heater core in Australia ? What other parts were required and what was the cost if you dont mind me asking ?
Thanks
Dave
Dave.
Not necessarily. Are you sure it's connected in the engine bay? Our heater core didn't fail, it just had one of it's pipes snap off.
I got it from GAP but they can be had in Aus much cheaper. We got ours for $60 USD
Nah that's it. Just a lot of elbow grease. Obviously new coolant when it all gets connected.
