Lube the shafts with Marine Grease while you're at it. It makes it soooo much easier.
It's worth raising up, or not driving the car at all. (for the weekend)

I know, **** the ride-height rules. 100mm is ****ing boring officer.
Nothing we can do about it.

I drove through a breath testing station, my Mercedes with 3 pissed mates in it all smelling like garlic kebabs, and got waved right through.
Gave me some weird feeling of being respected and trusted. Was cool.

That said, I wouldn't drive a slammed anything on this particular weekend. I saw five too many cop cars on a 10 minute drive to my mates place tonight.

My MK2 is real low. Too low for the country roads I drive on but I've never been pulled up. Probably because I look too old to be a hoon.

There's some advantages to being an old fart.

Have you ever been pulled for being too low? As long as you're not throwing sparks or driving like a tw*t you should be ok. Mine is well below the 100mm limit and i've never had any issues (mainly because all the cops up here are sneaky b*stards hiding in unmarked vans and behind bushes).

I drove my multicoloured, slammed and VERY noisy mk1 around for 4 weeks and never got looked at twice

also drove Sooty around SLAMMMMEEDDD on the stockies for 30,000km's and not one popo pulled me up

got to have some advantages for driving a lunch box

I'm basically staying the **** off the road this weekend.
There's things that can be defected on my car. I wouldn't get done for hooning though.
