Quick question: wing mirrors

Did the Mk2 ever come with electric wing mirrors? Just curious.

Yes they did....but I think it was only on late 16v golf's tho, they do come up now and again on ebay uk but are expensive

Mine has electric Wing Mirrors, they are broken though so will be trying to replace them.

Australia release 8V Mk2 Gti came with electric side mirror, my one was not working

All the Oz spec gti's should have come with electric mirrors. Mine even work!!

What's the mechanism that you use to adjust the position? I wonder if I could adapt the Mk3 mechanism to a non-working Mk2 item....
