Performance options for Mk2 GTI 8v

Hey guys i have a 1990 Mk2 gti 8v 1.8. Has 212k kms on it and hopefully want to swap either a 20v turbo in it closer to fulls or a vr6. Just depending on the cost and how hard it would be.

Any cheap options to get a little more get up and go with my standard 1.8.

    Thanks guys.

Exhaust and intake would be a nice start.

^ This is Brad the previous owner of your mk2 before I had it. He has a white one now. Brad as you can gather Tommy bought your old mk2 off me when I sold it.

HAHA! That's about as good as it gets. They're still heaps of fun to throw around town though even if they aren't much off the mark.

Hopefully your coming to Nationals Tommy would be good to see ya again

best BFYB mods (excluding engine swap, which is best!)

Maintenance! Make sure everything is in good nick before you go throwing new parts at it
Mk 3 2.0L down pipe and good exhaust.
Cheapy chip from ebay might help a little bit
Cam will give it a bit of a pep
if you're game and you can find one at the right price, get a bigger valve head from a UK or SA model.

Not much else I don't think.

Suspension, sway bars, Mk3 brake upgrade.

Lighten flywheel and a sports clutch.
2" system with Mk3 down pipe.
