Go the O Ring. Maybe with a film of oil, like a filter.
I`ve never used sealant and my motors dont leak.
Does any body know what to use for the sealant for oil cooler to flange ?
Bentleigh lists to use AMV 188 100 82 ? I can not find this anywhere even the dealerships state its not on file. Do I need a sealant or is the O ring enough on its own ? Any body know ?

Yes, but not on file or available from the dealerships, not so important anymore for the oil cooler but more so for the plate to block as in my other post, Sealing Pastes
[/quote]but Bentley again says to use AMV 188 001 02 paste on the G60 block where there is a plate to seal off the hole for the coolant passage into the block on the cam belt side.
I don't really understand why it is not available from dealerships??????
If it's on their ETKA they should be able to get it.
Are you sure that they are trying?
I will give them another try, but every time I have asked they reply with Not On File, whatever that means.
"Not on File" is cryptic for "can't be bothered."Originally Posted by aussieg60
