Hi guys,

First post into this thread. Have got myself a 2 dr mk2 and have been potterring away at it for 6 months or so now, just getting the body ready and all suspension complete with new bushings and coilovers,brakes etc.

First question, how many 2 doors are in Aus for the mk2???

I am looking to swap an AWP engine in from a beetle, just waiting on the budget to be finally happy with me buying a donor car lol. Let me know your thoughts!

There's only a handful of 2 door MK2's in Oz. All of them would be personal imports as Volkswagen never sold them here.

The original engine is slow so any later model motor has to be better. Good luck with the swap and make sure you post lots of photos here.
