Well, to be honest I "outsourced" the problem and had the suspension work done along with an engine service.....need to get it registered and on the road so I didnt have the time to do it myself and I really dont have the equipment needed to have done the bushes etc.

    - Door handles, gaskets, windscreen wipers and tail gate shocks from GAP

    - Rear badge from eBay

    - Leather gear shift boot from eBay

    - 2 window rubbers from eBay UK to replace the rotted out ones

    - Front indicator lenses (new repro) from Golf Loon

Im already at the point that I don't want to keep receipts, the numbers soon add up.......you have to be mad to keep an old car on the road, but then Im preaching to the converted....

Once I get it on the road im going to take it easy for a while. Major tasks that need attention are 3 new plastic wheel arch flairs, a new dash (or a reskin of the old one) and a new front bumper/chin spoiler....
