hey guys... i live in Sydney in the east
I have a GTI golf 1991 8v and my rear calipers are leaking and need to be fixed or replaced. i got my master cylinder replaced months ago and i guess it over pressured my caliper and now i have 2 put brake fluid every month or so..
i need new spark plugs im looking for the BERU ux79, ux79p.. cant find anywhere..
and i also have one more problem.. my reservoir is over pressuring dont know if i need to replace my hoses or something.. i took out the thermo awhile back, it was playing up. i found on the internet that there was a call back for the gti mk2 because they were pressuring and i cant see no pressure valve on the hose, do you reckon i can get the pressure valve done from the call back ??
please someone help thanks

Hi and welcome mate.
Why not have a drive down to my workshop at Campbelltown, I have heaps of parts for Mk2 in stock.
The rear brakes are not a drama although you could do a rear disc conversion if the car only has drums. we can help with that.
If the reservoir for the water is overpressurising, it could be a head gasket issue. if thats the case, I wouldn`t spend money on that motor, as we can drop in a late model 2L engine for cheaper than you would think.
Address is 18/41 Badgally Rd, Campbelltown 0423 051737 we only work on VWs and SEATs, so know your car inside out.
Cheers

My brakes are disc brakes, i went to vw village ages back to the the master cylinder and i went back a week later because i was losing my brake fluid and they said my caliper is leaking.. and i told some of my friends what happen and they said that maybe they played around with it ????
and also the head.. my mate had a small look and said its not broken because the oil lid doesnt have white stuff on it.. etc.. but not to sure.. i think it's the clamps holding the hoses in place some are original and it could leak through from not being hold done strong enough? or i had my heater matrix installed by previous owner and dont know if he even changed it or he put it in but not in straight ??
i'll come down and see you and you can check it out.. but cant for a few weeks.. thanks
