Some people like to do avr6 conversion, and others do the 1.8T engine from the golf mk4.
Check the build and restoration forum for some builds. I would love to know the cost of doing a1.8T conversion.
I think CamdenGTI can do them as well.
Hey guys,
Just bought a 1990 Mk2 Golf Gti from Melbourne on Sunday, and drove it to Sydney same day.
Planning on getting to the track eventually.
Did a bit of internet searching, would like to do an engine conversion, something that will bolt up easily. Any ideas what and where to get it?

$1500-$2k for an engine, wiring, CPU? I dunno, how much are these engines? I've done an sr20det conversion in a pulsar before, so would like to try the install myself, probably with advice guidance of vwwatercooled...
I see you had a quick stop at Winton on the way home!
Good spot water boy! It was on the way, never been there b4
