Howdy All,
Just wondering what are the best offsets for a slammed Mk2 on a 7 or 8" rim.
Mainly just wanting to know what you are all running.
Many Thanks,
Jeff

----[ Finished the search for a mk2 GTI]----
1990 Golf Mk2 GTI
276* cam
2 1/4 in straight through exhaust
H&R springs on KYB shocks
it really depends what you wanna go for...
ie, if you want your wheels to tuck, you'll want a slightly higher offset, say et30 ish on a 7" rim. for 8" it's quite hard to get tuck unless you stretch a skinny tyre over it (195 or 185)
8's on the front of a non powersteer mk2 wouldn't be very fun..
87' MK2 GTI
13' MK7 TDI
Guys,
I'm going for a classic, if slightly cliche Euro Look.
Looking for some BBS RS at the moment in 16" or possibly some 17s in 5 stud that I'll get re-pcd'd.
Have attached the planning pic...

What's the budget?![]()
Im running 17 by 7 1/2" with 205 40's and can tuck the backs tyres right under the guards with a 35mm offset and front tyres are just in the guards but coilovers help get it as low as possible then udjust if it scrubs!![]()
Any pics of yours? I have 17x7 wheels and coilovers coming this week, so want to see what they'll be looking like!
Currently looks like this, so how much of that gap can I remove before it scrubs?
