    Mk2 w audi 80 2.0 8v

Hey guys, new to the forums so I hope I can get some feedback. Looking to buy a mk2 at the moment. Seller has one with an audi 80 2.0 8v motor ready to drop in, my question is do they fit straight in?? Seller is supposedly sure it will. Comes with engine and transmission, wiring harness etc. can't find anyone else with one or in my situation. Anyone out there able to give me advice?

It will, it's very similar to the original engine. Is it this one? 1990 mk2 golf for sale with audi 80 2.0l 8V.

$1500 is a lot of money for a motor that has so many question marks. If you're handy with the spanners it'd be alright. I'd offer $1500 all up, see what he says.

Considering he is asking 1500 for the motor and 500 for the car, I'd say that 1k for the engine is still far too much. Just get the car and depending on how fast you want it on the road, there's far better engine options for 1500 to consider..
