    looks like he did well to hang onto it. Wonder how much power the thing puts out these days, I remember back when he had the 2L and was constantly seraching for power.

    nice that is some good front wheel drive oversteer, back off and you spin around lol. So it seems that the front wasnt pushing out like all the 4cyl guys want you to believe, what a surprise. you guys got any pics of the car and motor ?

    he is putting out about 210 bhp i think...let me go throught the CGTI site and i will post the build of the car etc.

    I think he is much happier with the VR power than 16v...esp after his 2.1 went t1ts up

    well 210bhp will be a lot more reliable from 2.8L than from 2.1L
    Shame though, I'm still a 16v fan

    Must have been been heartbreaking (and wallet ftm) when Garys rebuild 16v went tits up. The video showed serious hp up top!

    Watched the VR6 vids he posted at donny when the VR went in and he had no problems keeping evos at bay with a stock motor in a mk2
