it would be easy to swap it over if you had all the bits.

I like the jetta front. I'd swap mine over if there were more out here.

The lights and the grill below the on the Jetta are completely different to the Rallye...
    What?

I was saying Alex has a Jetta grill not Rallye in response to anarchycamp.

Much as I like the Rallye lights, on a Rallye. They are in fact utter crap as lights at night!!

When you switch from dip to main beam, the dip turns off and you have 2 spot lights and no illumination directly in front of the car.

You can't fit big bulbs in the dip, as they overheat and blow all the time. The lens is really delicate and I have seen them broken with a steam cleaner at a car wash.

Personally, I think a MK2 looks best with single lights and black badges.

This was the look I was thinking about going, but with a badgeless grill and BBS RM's.

That one of mine came on RMs, load great. PIA to keep looking that way though, hardest wheel "in the world" to keep clean.

My mate bought some with 7.5 inch rims on the them at a show, knowing they were cheap. I chucked them on the car and sold them within 2 minutes of getting to the club meeting. It's a shame I haven't any pictures of it.

Not trying to rain on your parade as it were, but I have yet to see a debadged grille of comparable quality to a std VW one. I have seen loads in the UK and they just looked weak. The plastic just doesn't have the look/feel of VWs.

You know what I mean, you pick something up and there's some weight to it, it feels right. Cheapo spanner next to Snap On scenario. Does the job but no finesse.

Don't listen to my opinions though, they are from the 90s

    Hey Gav

No raining at all man. I know what you are saying. But I live in hope, and hope that the FK ones are pretty good, cos thats the one I am looking at, as well as some Crosshair headlights by the same brand...

Creepy...All this wondering about the Golf Rallye, and I get the latest edition of VW Performance(Dec 09, I have a subscription...) delivered today, and it features a Rallye G60, a R32 engined Rallye Synchro, and a very nice MK2 Deisel...
