    Only the very early 1983/4 MK2 GTI's had he side stripes and looked very similar to MK1's. The first couple of months of production had the side stripes, MK1 seats & 'Tarantula' wheels. Anyway, more pics. Everyone likes pics!

    Had it in my head that these lil squares were on Westy built MK2s. I love em!

    Any more details? I want to get the exterior back to original spec.

    Here's an early one Dom, one of the first in Germany, i don't think any of the RHD Mk2 GTI's had the Mk1 style stripes.
    Notice the skinny front spoiler too... Also with the 85-89 front spoilers, the 16V had cut-outs either side of them for brake cooling ducts, the 8V had the holes filled in.

    Was yours an A or B reg? The red one above is an early '84 A reg but this is an '84 B reg;

    Pretty sure ozgti's was an A reg Matt.
