I like how they made it look like a Mark 1 (sort of)... I agree, the white colour suits the older Golfs very well.

thats how the original 16v mk2's looked standard, we never got small bumper mk2's in this country, only think i know that is different is the mk1 GTI twin strip decal on the lower part of the bodyline
Only the very early 1983/4 MK2 GTI's had he side stripes and looked very similar to MK1's. The first couple of months of production had the side stripes, MK1 seats & 'Tarantula' wheels. Anyway, more pics. Everyone likes pics!

Here's an early one Dom, one of the first in Germany, i don't think any of the RHD Mk2 GTI's had the Mk1 style stripes.
Notice the skinny front spoiler too... Also with the 85-89 front spoilers, the 16V had cut-outs either side of them for brake cooling ducts, the 8V had the holes filled in.
