    Mk2 Heater Core

Stupid question but I'll ask regardless....

Just about to order a heater core for my Mk 2 on GAP and while I was looking around the net I noticed a UK site selling both left hand drive and right hand drive heater cores for Mk2's.....

Does the heater core come in LHD and RHD ? Seems like it could be possible however GAP don't mention it and they are usually pretty good about letting you know

btw Anyone know what the cores cost in Oz?

    Thx

I think the pipes come in differently LH/RHD. Heater core/blower will come in from the other side of the dash due to the steering setup.

The core I bought from GAP fitted perfectly into my RHD car.

I got mine from Camden GTI. Fitted perfectly and the only complaint I have is it blows too much hot air, even early in the morning when it's -2.

If yours isn't leaking then it should be hot. Try taking off the bypass valve that sits between the engine and the heater, bet you it's restricting the water flow.

How did you go with the wiper motor?

I'll have a look into that probably tomorrow night.

As for the wiper kit, put it in last Sunday, the piece of metal we put in to extend the arm was surprisingly the easy part, slotted into the groove and without measurement got it right the first time. Extending the power cable was annoying, not hard but time consuming since we had to solder 10 cables (plus an added bonus of Aarons dad hovering over our shoulder )

So tomorrow it should be a citizen of nsw again
