Why would you fit rs2 pistons in an 8v? RS2 is 4v/cylinder.

Those rear brakes are a bit overkill too on the back end of a car that basically does nothing. The front brakes on a 16v which you can get 170bhp from pretty easily are 256mm.

Goodluck with the project though. Love the mk2's.

PS. It's ausgolfer writting on doms id.

valve angles on a 16v piston are not compatible with an 8v

well this engine is built to last.
alot of tuners use this setup for turbo or hardcore tuning. can go up to 500hp
in which case you will need alot of brake power
also more area to stop on means less heat than on small breaks

ok.......... but it still doesnt explain how 16v pistons can work on an 8v head, especially on one that you want a compression ratio of 11.5:1............ and then supercharge it

ok, well the head is being ported reworked etc to 11.5:1
but this is just non aspirated engine.
once it gets a supercharger i am making myself a new head and then making compression 8.5:1 or the standard 8:1
as much as i know the rs2 do work in the 8v.
i think they are a bit lower than the 8v in height so they should be able to fit
    just checking it out.
