1/2 a tank and then it seems to die.
I was going to replace the lift pump/sender (was going to try to get one from the uk)
Velly could you possibly put the link to where you would buy the sender/pump please, if not could you PM it...I am struggling to find the sender unit and from what I can gather replacing it as well as the pump would be a good idea.

    Thanks

Kjet needs fuel pressure to work properly, and good vacuum. Mine does the same at half tank (or there abouts). It's my warning that I need to fill up! Gauge goes between 3/4 and 1/4 instead of full empty!

mine is a digifant, and only can get 400km out of a tank as it will cut out when it froms below 1/2 way .

will post a link if i find some, but remember i am looking for Digifant not k-jet parts

The lifter pumps shold be the same. Kjet has an inbuilt sump around the main pump so as long as it can fill the sump, you should be fine. Mine's running a digi lifter to the accumulator and fuel filter, no sump. Might need one soon though as I can't turn left below a certain fuel level without it hitting the hard rev limiter!!!!

I have the same issue with my car. I was driving going to the office when my car stopped in the intersection. I tried starting it again but it doesnt want to. since I was at an intersection all the vehicles behind me are honking and i decided to ask for help from the traffice enforcers to push my car. when they were pushing it i tried to start the engine using the switch and it did ran again. I think the cops thought that I was playing a prank on them. Also theres is another instance wherein I was using it for a while then I parked in a resto to eat, when I was about to leave the place suddenly my car doesnt want to start it doesnt even want to crank. I checked the battery and, fuse, relay all of it but still no luck for me. I asked my brother to tow my car back to the house since I need to go to the office. I was surprise when I got home and tried to start the engine coz it did start with just 1 click... this has been happening to me numerous times and I cant see the problem with the car, for some reason everytime it would stop i would give it a rest for a few minutes and then the car would start again. up to now I havent use my MK2 since the last time it happened was the one at the resto and I allowed it to rest for almost an hour and it didnt start. Just to add its not overheating as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated for I miss driving my MK2.

Sounds like the same issue to me...Bang the fuel tank instead of resting it, if it fires back up then fuel pump/sending unit.

Good luck finding the sending unit though, can't find them anywhere...

probably doing the wrong thing by not reading the whole thread,

but mine seems to like miss fire when accelerating between 2k-3k, its like it isnt getting enough fuel/air or something like spark. not really sure but once i rev higher it will kinda stop but again happens if i try to give it some up through the revs.

I couldn't find mine in time....Lift pump failed today and could not be revived

Went to go get it towed to J&F but they are full so I am taking a big risk sending it off to a mechanic who I have never met/had anything done by before.

Tried to tell me the lift pump could cost between $200-300...Explained that I was going to order one for less than $150 with postage and do it myself but haven't got around to it yet.....Not looking to good so far.
