Best golf ever made was without doubt the Mk2 Gti. Having previously owned a hot Mk1, which was a great little car I still have to say the Mk2 is even better. The Mk2 was more civilised and looked more purposeful. Fitted with a few extra creature comforts, better seats, appearance and cosmetics it will always remain the ultimate collectable Golf in my opinion. I was restoring a 'dream' Mk2 GTi for a friend but as the cash has run out the car has got to go.
