    Mk2 Clutch

    Can anyone recommend a good online tutorial for clutch assembly removal and replacement. I've done lots of conventional clutches before but reading the Bentley makes the Golf seem hard. Lots of detailed photos would be good.
    Thanks

    Block| -> p-plate -> p-plate cap and big circlip -> clutch disc -> fly wheel.

    Center the clutch disc before tightening the fly wheel.

    Torque to spec and your done.

    Then have fun getting the gear box spline to mat up to the clutch disc centre hole.

    It's not hard at all. Takes a while through to get the drive shafts off and all the other bits and pieces.

    Two-man job is recommended.

    If you have done lots of others the Golf one won't be difficult its all common sense and I consider them easy.
    Just do it.

    just put the clutch on loosely so you can move the disc around. stick your finger or a 12mm long socket in the hole and centre it. Check and tighten. Easy.
