    Update: 17/06/2020

Took a different direction today and decided to figure out my roofliner. I have the 2 door one (white one) which is in horrible condition (sunroof cut out of it) and the 4 door one which was really good. Laid them over the top of each other and they were same length and all the mounting holes down the middle lined up so that was awesome. Just needed to cut out the outside sections from 2 door profile and fix it onto the 4 door liner so that it is now suitable for the 2 door. Came out great using aluminum tape. The tape wouldnt stick on the inside of the liner so it only worked well on the outside. Now to order some fabric and get my old man to glue it on and the liner should look like new!

Installed a nudge bar for dad's amarok too so he can run driving lights.

    Cheers, Thomas

    Update: 7/07/2020

New slotted brakes and pads came today from VMax brakes. Rear beam has been fitted (used rear axle insert bushes instead of replacing the whole bush) including brake lines and fuel lines along with fuel tank. Front wheel hubs/knuckles are ready to go along with the front subframe. Just need to find a refresh kit for the mk3 vr6 shocks and struts. Car should be rolling in no time

Now that you're putting in a V6 you may want to reconsider your decision not to fit power steering. Trust me, you may be able to drive it but the missus won't.

And great work, loving this build.

Had heaps to be done but just not enough time. Everything was ready to go on to get the car rolling. Started with new rear wheel bearings and put the struts in, rotors on and finally got the BBS's on. I can already see they won't fit well as they will hit the spring on the suspension, will look into spacers. They are BBS RC324's, 17x7.5.

For those who know the VR6 subframe, it has the 2 extra subframe bolts which are after the sway bar. To keep it looking oem and not just leave them unbolted, had to put in some captive nuts. Drilled through the floor (about 3 sheets of metal) then used a hole saw on top to then fit the welder down and use the similar type of grommet plug thing that the other large holes get plugged with in the floor.

Sorry all the photos are terrible quality..
    Cheers, Thomas

    Update: 08/08/2020

Finally got everything together, new ball joints, bushes, sway bar link... Thinking it might be best to replace subframe bolts too. Put front wheels on and welp, no way are those 17 inch BBS gonna fit at all so will run the 15 inch BBS's from the vr6. The rims look rubbish so will respray them sometime. Finally rolling yiew!
