Long time again, no golf. Life got a bit complicated so haven't been near the golf but I'm back. Rear windows in, slowly getting closer now... hopefully a bit more work over the coming weeks

Lucky to have a shed.
I have to work on open icy ground.
In my underwear.
With sheep stealing my 10mm sockets.
Sleeping in a cardboard box in the middle of the street.
I have to get up in the morning at night at half-past-ten at night, half an hour before I went to bed, Eat a lump of freezing cold poison, work 28 hours a day on my MK1, and pay my wife to let me work. And when I went home our dad used to murder us in cold blood, each night, and dance about on our graves, singing hallelujah.
(With apologies to Monty Python)

Looking very good and well done on saving it. I often wish I still owned it.
Update: 16/06/2023
Finally fixed my handbrake. The mk4 rear calipers are too big for the mk3 handbrake cable end to sit in, I attached a pic of the difference. Had to unbolt the mk4 mount and bend it in so it matched the mk3 caliper mount. Nothing exciting really
Cheers

So begins the tail light swap over. As I have the VR6 wiring loom in the whole car, I had to figure out which wire goes to which part of the mk3 tail light, then convert that over to the mk2 tail light. Done my little drawing, now I just have to chop the plug and solder away...

And now wired up, works a charm. Luckily there were other spade connectors on the back of the globe holder so was able to fit them all on easily.
