    Mk 2 GTI Dash squeaks.............!

    any advise about how the get those annoying dash sqeaks to go away?

    Check all the screws are in.
    Above the cluster and behind some of the airvents and switch blanks.

    Also check around the heater control panel and stereo. Mine squeaks like buggery there.

    Check the nuts holding the dash to the bulkhead are tight. Mine aren't in and it used to squeak like a mofo!!

    Found under the plastic rain tray thing.

    Talking squeaks

    Teflon spray works for me , Check to make sure everything is tight , then spray teflon spray ( ezy glide) under the dash. It will still allow things to move without the sound.

    If that doesn't work use a mouse trap or ratsak
