    lowering springs

lookin at gettin some lowering springs... standard ride height for a valver i think is 333mm (10 mm less than 8v).
i would like it to be around 300mm.
having a look eibach pro kit lowering springs, but it says 16v and diesels in the same section.. both are -20mm, but the diesels oem ride height was 360mm.. doesn't make sense, which one is it???

it also says the g60, 8v's have different springs.. how are they different???

Eibach / Pro Kit Lowering Springs / Volkswagen Golf Mk2 83>91 / Euro Performance Car Parts

also any other suggestions for springs??

    cheers

It doesn't really matter what the original ride height was if they lower by 20mm, ie 16v will drop to 313mm whereas the deisel will drop to 340mm. I think they are recommended for different cars depending on spring rate rather than ride height.

As mentioned if you are going to get lowering springs you might as well replace the dampers too, get a full kit.

As said by other a cup kit (springs and shocks) will do wounders to your ride.

Also dont forget to replace your strut top mounts (About $80 for the pair) as these do get flogged out over time.
