Had a day off work due to an eye infection, so a good opportunity this afternoon to get cracking on the mk2.
Bolted on the RA's and gave them a good scrub (thanks sports racer :toast: )

Also got a coat of black on the bonnet after being patched. (I'm still wanting to put a bit of filler here and there)
Put in a set of JOM cross hairs (which arrived the same day as a set of Hella's from Bamish1000 and wiring upgrade is in place, just need to hook it into the loom.

So that's what those wheels look like when they are clean.
Starting to look good Locky. Not far to go now.
When are you going to update your signature?
Thanks Paul,
I'll wait till I install the lowered springs ;)

Looking a bit better now with new grill and lights.
Now just need to get by bonnet open again. Latch isn't releasing- must be out a little. Oh well- fluids are all topped up. lol

Thought I'd get a shot of the wheels before I polish them.
That's your "before" photo?
It's my "after" photo.
Lol Paul.
I ran out of time today, spent over 30 mins trying to pop the bonnet, so gave up and took the kids for a drive to a local waterfall.
I'll have a crack tomorrow morning at aligning the lights properly so I don't blind on coming drivers.
Still need to sort out the wiring for the new loom.
Managed to get the bonnet open again without removing the grill.
What a beep that was, bonnet latch is now aligned properly and bonnet opens! Yay!
Headlight wiring loom is connected. Used the one I bought from ebay, so no cutting needed!

Before - main beam with foglights.
Been ages since I've posted anything.
Busy time, but have been driving the mk2 pretty much everyday.
Such a fun car to drive on the windy 30 min drive to work everyday.
