A Little Body Help - Bonnet Arms

Ey guys. well as a consequence of being careless and forgetting to tie down the bumper while towing my mk2 on the freeway a while back, my bonnet arms which connect the bonnet to the car are stuffed.

my Q is - whats hte easiest way to take the arms off? (already taken the bonnet off the arms). can it be done by taking only the fender off?

if someone has a set of bonnet arms that'd also be helpful otherwise ill get my brother to ship a set over from germany.

    thanks

In the meantime if it help ya keep the bonet up with no ugly brooms etc just use a small set of grips and clamp the strut insert side of the stru when up fully, it will stay up no worries then - cant understand why people use sticks and brushes as a little neat set of grips does the job nicely

Reach up in the raintray where the arms go. Each one has a clip on it, remove this and they will come out.
