Just bought a Mk2 GTI

As the subject says, just bought a Silver 91 MK2 GTI and pick it up tommorow night!

It runs nicely but has a few dents/cosmetic issues etc to sort out at some stage.

From the info I got off here It appears to be a German built car too, good or bad?

Anyway, please keep the "Good luck, you will need it" comments to a minimum

Probably fix cosmetic things first, let my wife relax for a few months, then look at the power plant options for sure!

As far as im aware all MK2s are German quality...possibly some SA ones..someone else will know for shure. but they never made mk2z in Oz.

if it is a 91, it's an aussie delivered one i'd say. same as mine. Hope it treats you will, cure the digi-lag first then you will a little more fun with it.

Excuse my newbieness....what is digi-lag?

I assume something to do with the Digifant computer?

digi-lag is a term used for digi2 cars, when you put your foot down the car lags for a bit then picks up, putting a powerchip in will fix this
