Are JOM coil overs legal in QLD ?

    Hello

Just a bit of advice required. I've been thing of grabbing some JOM coilovers.(mixed reviews but they fit my minute budget).

After looking at some other forums ( none vw) one thing pops up! Are they legal ?
From what I can the they are only legal if they have the ADR stamp. Can anyone shed light on this?.

Ps not sure if all states apply the same rules, but I like in QLD.

    Cheers

I was looking at the JOM coilovers too. ( ended up with lowered springs instead)
I think this issue might be with making sure they are set to a legal height, but I'm no expert.
Maybe shoot a pm to slickonline since they are Aussie dealers.

I recently bought my MK2 from Brisbane and it has coilovers fitted. It had them when it was rego tested in Qld so they aren't illegal.

You may have to show that they are always set at a legal height, usually by a paint mark on each coil where the collets screws to the coilover body. Mine had been on for a couple of years and the dirt pattern shows they haven't been set too low.

I had no issues with them when I transfered to NSW rego last week.

    Cheers

    Paul
