Ah, didn't know! I assumed you meant the same since nimbus is a type of cloud anyway haha. Damn names.

There's a similar looking ride in the US... airbagged, Fuchs-ed, but paint had a slight green tinge to it.

F***!!! you guys have got the ball rolling with colour!

i'm loving all of those. i like the idea of grey but that beige is freakin killer.

i have a worry that beige will look retardismuss with gti arches though. and i cant really be bothered doing intense guard rolling and malleting to run archless. there's also those mounting provisions on the rear that i'd have to fill.

btw, why would i take the windscreen out? i mean i'm happy for someone else to do it and put it in and be certain that a) it wouldn't leak and b) not crack because there are 2 massive cracks in it.... ( not angry, just realistic )

can someone give me some codes for these colours? it's been an absolute nightmare trying to find them. i've looked at everything on and they're all kinda boring.

progress - parents away so no digital camera, but i've taken out all the glass except fron and rear. those quarterlight windows are only held in by 2 fittings..?

    dents pulled and filled.

good work Jay, keep it up man.

my advice. if you get to a point that you're really frusted with one bit of body work, leave it for now and come back later when you're not so angry at it. Dont cut corners, cause you'll regret it later on (i know from experience)

Also make sure you clean everything REALLY REALLY REALLY well with prepwash/wax grease remover. I mean everywhere too. Dont skimp, as a small patch of old grease or something on a door hinge will bugger up the new paint. also from experience.!

AS boring as the grey's are, I'm going to go with a grey or sorts. should look pretty euro with teh gti arches and stuff. i think without them, the brown would work though.

You have to get it all primered and smooth as a baby before you worry about colour anyway.

Fill in those damn side repeater holes too. Imports dont need them

Some sort of grey is probably best as you dont then need to worry about the engine bay, or boot.

    Sweet progress so far homey.

i'll smooth the hell out of everything, but i'm also considering archless on beige. then when (not if) the engine comes out, i'll smooth the bay. and paint it body colour
