nice thread, interested in how its all gonna work out, tha car looks nice, though i hate small bumper golf,s but thats beside the point.
    otherwise car looks nice.
i think most powerful mk2 engin i have ever seen was 300+hp it was made to 1.9l and the thing was setup to race naturally aspirated but had electronic lifters and basically modded to the ****house.
one of my mates in germany hat it, ill ask him if hes got a pic. was crazy car.
too bad i was never there to be in it.

i have possibly some pics coming on the weekend. i never said it would be a fast..... build thread. lol.

lol. this thing doesnt have electronic lifters... just hydraulic ones pushed by a rather large cam lobe.

hehe.. i should go buy a couple sets of tyres for the christening.

    oooh ooooooh, pick me........
choose semi-slicks on some nice 17inch steel rims.
well if its gonna be 5 stud. i could never find 17" steels for 4 stud or maby im just blind.
nice ones are made by falken, yokohama, and kumho
Falken and Kumho is cheapest but damn do they look sexy.
think its lyke 200 a tyre.
well if you could afford electronic lifters and new engine management i think you wouldnt buy a mk2 here.
Just import a g60 from europe lol
    b cheaper

lol. i was thinking more along the lines of $30 a tyre and entering a burnout competition!

i have a strange suspicion that it somehow might get lower soon... ?

actually lowered as in suspension wise?
cus if so, the lower the better. the best set of lowering is goin 90mm front and 80mm back.
had my gti stuck on 60/60 which was hot. but wanting 100/100 when done.
i want to be able to light matchstix under my exhaust!!!!!!

but keep pics updated, i got some mad stuff aswell in my thread but mine is a bit of a diff setup.

Time for an update here JayJay??
    Its been too long

So the engine was assembled in QLD and then found a temporary home in a Scirrocco in Brissy for running in purposes.

It is now out and on its way to Sunny Sydderny on a Pallet.

There are a few other changes in the pipeline, like maybe another shell to put the car in, can you say golf seeeeee

Also maybe a change of fuelling direction if something suitable can be sourced on a budget.

We need to take some pics next time you are down bro.

so the ghetto shell that i've been rolling on is quite possibly going to go.

there's this immmmmmaaccculate white 5 door with the most perfect of factory fitted sunroofs.

depending on how funds go, quad fuelling may be involved in this project.. hehehe. perhaps some hottuning loving too. (again) we'll see. but it's coming along.

    pics to come asap.

update time. the motor is built and waiting to be installed. depending on if i can find some dual webers/dellortos/work out a custom inlet manifold to run quad yammy r1/gixxer/cbr1000 bike carbs. i'll probably run it gently on k-jet to iron out any other issues i have with my car to start with. when that all gets sorted, quad throttle ftw.

anyway, pix do a lot more talking.

for the proof... hehehe. it's an engine code. (not ady, 2e, ev, or rv)

here's an idea of spacing with stock vr6 bits. this is with wide track, i know it's a crappy photo but that's nearly guard flush with 15x6.5 et43.... if i had 15x8 steelies.... omfg!!!

and finally something i made, bored in my carport. ( it's a smiley face out of mk2 bits )

i know it doesn't look very special, but when checking TDC, the piston was practically sitting inside the head....
