    Injection to Carbs conversion

    Hi Eveyone,
I have had it with my Digifant setup on my MK2 1990 GTI 8v. It has never worked properly ever since i bought it 2 years ago. So i have decided to go with either a lynx manifold and single DCOE 40 or 45 Carb. Or funds permitting a Twin DCOE 40 or 45 carb & manifold setup.
I have no problems on the fitting of the Carbs, fuel pump and linkages etc. It's the Ignition side i need help with. I recall a mk1 1600 golf i owned years ago that had a hall effect distributor wired up to the coil in the old skool fashion and worked very well. Can i do something like that on my RV code engine? Can i even use my existing digifant distributor? I am hopeless when it comes to wiring so any suggestions should come with basic diagrams or instructions! Thanks....

I have the feeling you should be able to use you electronic ignition. But dont quote me on it. A mk2 on carbs would finally do that engine justice
