Just read this whole thread, nice work DangerDan, good to see your hard work & persistence paid off. And how many mint 2dr oak green Mk2's with recaros and a g60 do we have over here now? I'm guessing probably one.
=( Not yet.. trying to find the funds!

Thanks, much appreciated. Just have a few issues with the paint to sort out, will be ringing touch up guys to see what they say. nothing major though. None of it would have been possible without he help of the people on this forum, from day one to final delivery. Im just stoked that so many people are so interested, i love these cars and just wasn't happy compromising with what i got at the time.
Has there been a count up of mk2 2 doors before, i sure there are more then what i think there are.

does anybody have any suggestions on where to get scratched paintwork done. I've been looking into the touch up guys and will ring when i get the car back, but not sure if they are any good. Reviews seem to go both ways.
The scratches are major, one on the sun roof, another on the front left quarter near the lights, a few spots above the side skirt.
Is oak green a hard colour to match too? anything is cheaper then orange i guess
Dan
Dan,
If you go to Autobarn they can mix that exact paint for you as they have the code on their computer.
ok, how achievable is it for me to fix these scratches and bumps, ive had a look and been talking to people and seems a little worse then i thought. I was thinking of trying what evorobin and dubsteve stated and giving it a go, but the scratch on the sun roof seems a little deep. Also is the bump repairable without respraying the whole bonnet or will i need to go to a panel shop where they'll likely stuff it. Why are there so few good ones.
Man this is frustrating.
Dan
Probably best to take it to a panel shop and get it done at the same time if this is the case, it shouldn't cost to much. That second pic looking like the sun roof will need to be cut back thats for sure.
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
Time for an Oak Green meet Dan!!
I somehow missed this entire thread - it is honestly awesome.
BTW a bit of fish oil or vaseline will work better than sticky tape to protect the metal.
