as far as im aware, i will be sending the payment this week, he has already notified the dvla and has also given me the receipt for purchase to try for the VIA which is what im waiting on/

I emailed to find out how the process was proceeding, and another person replied saying it was going good, and will notify me of any problems.

Just been trying to sort out details at the bank as they need all these details that ive been chasing.

is an IBAN code the same as a SWIFT, that what i got to sort out.

but as far as im aware the car is mine, he just hasn't pulled the ad.

Iban is the International Bank Account Number.

Similar to swift, but swift is the local version I think.

Is it the UK bank or Aus bank that needs the swift?

Just been lurking in the classifieds of Ed 38 and the ad has been bumped by some shark trying for the interior. Didn't notice how sweet the interior is either. Recaro's, nice!!

Just wondering whether the parts mentioned in the ad, gearbox, coilovers & poly bushes are included and whether this affects the import process. Will you be taxed on their worth?

Unfortunately i wont be able to get the included parts as im shipping RORO to halve the price. Would love to get them but cant in the process im taking.

    Word of advice:

Get it insured for WAAAAAAY more than the actual value.

I'm getting screwed over, It was insured for 1200GBP, but the damage was 9351AUD. SO, they asked if I would surrender the car to the insurers for the payout.. er.. NO!

So basically, I'm screwed over! They said I could settle for less, but no idea on how much yet!

So how did they manage to do that. Why would they ask you to surrender your car. Is there anyway of seeing a good result, seems tough.

Well i bought the car for 2550 pounds, and its 700 pounds on the papers, how much should i put on insurance then, $3000 AUD?

Put the value at something ridiculous. It's what it's worth out here. Put $9000+AUD. I stupidly put it at UK value which was nothing compared to here. They will offer me less than 1200GBP (Insured value) as compensation, but it's still a kick in the balls!
