Mine has coilovers, they told me the headlights were too low, so i raised it up, then lowered it again ! It had 16" RS on it which wasn't a problem.
Serious engine mods are a different story though i think, have a look at VR6 STORMs posts in the Corrado forum, he sent his Mk1 out and had trouble getting it road worthy because of mods i think ??
Jays Corrado came here with a 16VG60 though and he didn't have any trouble .....

afaik it doesnt matter if the car was modded overseas or here, if you're going by the book it should be the same affair to get either registered.

Hey Walshydub im hearing you mate with the exchange rate the way it is it would make sense rather than bringing them from the UK although i have good contacts over there it still cost a bomb to bring them in. For example my brothers MK3 1.4 with an ABD engine cost him 50 pounds!!!!! as a work car and basically threw it away when he was finished with it. But would cost a bomb to bring it, I have access to a 95 AAA VR6 and its basically mine if i want it but getting it over here is another thing

Nigel finally got the MK1 through today. I followed him home from work. Quite a few strange looks from other motorists that clocked the British plates.

    Cost him a packet.

Ok, I'm shouting, as previously posted I'm coming over and want to bring mine with me next year but I'm trying to work out costs, I've been quoted £1k for the shipping so far but I have to have things sorted out in australia before the car is allowed to ship, so I need to work out the damage at your end.

I've owned the car for 3 years at the moment and it was registered in 91,

    can you help

I brought mine when the exchange rate was similar. Expect to pay 1000 pounds shipping and $2500 at our end. So yeah 2000 pounds is the answer to your question mate.

One of the guys from Ozaudi bought his S4 with him when he moved over from the UK. He said in hindsight, it wasnt worth the cost or heartache.

It might still be worth it to do a car that is not available in Oz
