    I think it would be easier to put a 20VT in, than install and turbo a 16V. Just imo. 20VT is already factory turbo'd, 16V more custom work.

    Have a look on clubgti. heaps of really good info on there.s

    Setting up a turbo can be a real PITA!!
    The 20VT is all good to go, and you should be able to get more power more easily.
    Either option will need new wiring, mods etc.

    ClubGti is full of helpful info for any engine.

    not really, good 16V's can be the same as a 20VT. If you're worried about the $$, then you shouldn't attempt the swap at this stage, save up for a few more years.

    What ever your budget is now, you can safely double it!

    So since i'm going to be axing this digi 8V engine, i was thinking of chipping it, has anyone got any clue where i get get it done? or even better has anyone had it done?

    Pretty sure the ebay chips are cheap and nice. But they just raise the rev limiter and tweek timing.

    Spend your money on coilovers, exhuast and intake. Then brakes and keep it maintained.
