Help! Wiper issues

Tested all the electricals on my car to ready it for rego. Everything worked except the wipers.

The thread on the bolt on the left hand side is buggered so it won't tighten enough to hold the wiper arm, so the bolt moves instead of the wiper arm.

Is there anyway of fixing this or does the mechanism need to be replaced?

I was getting desperate and thinking of superglue-ing it (stupid, i know).

Any help is appreciated.

If the thread is stripped or damaged you might be able to repair it with a tap and die set. If you are not sure of what to do you could try a local engineering or mechanical workshop. Someone should be able to assist you. Forget the super glue idea please....Good luck.

I did it at school many a year ago. I'll give it a try. What's the worst that could happen?
