    Help on wheel fitment? 15x7/7.5 +0 on a mk2 gti?

    Hey guys, fairly new to the forums.
    Recently got myself a clean mk2 gti 8v.
    Going for the low/wide look, im after some advice and wheel specs to help me gauge how the wheels i am after will sit. I am unsure of just how low i am going yet, but any pics/ wheel specs would be appreciated.

    The wheels i am looking at are a set of jap CST Precedeo wheels, 15x7 +0, 15x7.5 +0
    Is anyone here running similar low offsets and even tyre sizes...?

    you could make them work, with some stretch and lots of lows, and maybe some camber, but it'd be harder to pull off, cause those offsets are about 20mm less than what would be clsoer to 'ideal'.

    have a look on vwvortex, in the mk 2 section. from memory there is a thread dedicated to wheels and offsets etc., plenty of pics and info out there

    0 offset is going poke from the guards; this is 15x8 with 0 offset;
    No flares;

    Like Jarred said it'll be a lot of effrot to get them to fit well. Stretched tyres, camber and if its not low enough it'll look terrible.

    Are they nice looking wheels? Are they cheap? Is it worth the hassle basically........

    yea, those pics are pretty good, but remember they'll sit in 1/2 an inch at the front, and 1/4 at the back.

    and you'd need more stretch than that. They look like 195/50's. I'd recommend 185/45 or 175/50. If you were really game, you could go a 165/50, which is a nice stretch for a 7" wheel, but you have to make sure you have the stance for it, cause they're very skinny tyre's and will probs look silly without the right stance. (if that makes sense)

    HTH.

    Zero on the rears is WIN on a mk2. On the fronts its as above and needs a bit of arch work. Search it up on votex, search 'stance' or something in the mk2 forum. There are a few sweet rides running 8.5" with et8 an it sits flush and 9.5" et0 looks epic but needs heavy arch work. Stretch is a must.

    im running et9 8" fr and et3 8.5 rr on steel arches and im only using 185s, 7's and 7.5s are within easy reach of a 165 but like said youll need decent lows to go with it.

    et0 on the rear off a mk2 is good depending on width
