Antinora, you're in Sydney aren't you? Only one place to go. Talk with Heasmans at Sydenham.

I think thats the website, they are good I'm using them on my Golf vr6 awesome stuff. I think that they are quite good and worth the money they can make the spring up for you cause they fabricate it from start. You can get what ever height that you want you just let them know.

There situated in Rockdale if you come to the cruise on Sunday you will see them.
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

My Koni Yellows and H&Rs cost about 2K fitted, and I doubt you could get much for too much less... Maybe budget for 1500 minimum... For proper TUV approved stuff. Just a set of shocks could cost as little as 600 bucks + fitting. If you are going to do something, do it right. Crazy not too. It may cost more in the long run...
Pedders make good stuff IMO especially if you're on a budget(but I'm no pedders salesperson just one of many options), anyone on a budget like this isn't going to get konis or bilsteins, like I already sugested.

As for TUV approval, I doubt much Australian made stuff has TUV approval....(TUV is similar to our E marks) I think it's unwise to write off aussie stuff so readily.

Back on track.. Just give any reputable suspension place a ring. They should be able to give you a decent idea of what prices you're looking at as well as the more readily available options.

Before I upgraded to my current suspension, I had poly bushes all round, Pedders front inserts, Koni non adjustables in the rear with standard springs. The car went very well, but would have been better a little lower and with the aid of a rear anti roll bar.

I think Ron at C & S Auto, Padstow (9774 3340) has some Golf 2 shocks if you want cheapies.
