Sounds like it could be a short in the indicator arm contacts. Take the wheel off and have a poke around.
On the way to work todday, the indicators stopped working. Blown fuse. Now I change the fuse and it blows as soon as it hits ignition on without even moving the indicator arm.
WTF can be causing this??? Tried new relays, fuses. Hazzards flash, but no indicators.

Ive swapped the arm assembly over for a new one and it still does it...
I'm stumped! I'm at the limit of my electrical knowledge here! lol!
Well that's me out too, I'm a muppet with electrics. Sorry I couldn't help, hopefully someone else can.

Cheers. It better not rain tomorrow!!!
Still sounds like a short to me.
What about in the loom under the steering column?
My only blinker trouble have been when the plugs have come off the blinker itself or short out inside the housing.
Hope that helps.
I've traced it back as far as the bottom of the cowling- Then it goes into a Cobra alarm... Fook me it's a mess! I'm dropping it off to a sparky this pm.
Best thing I did was remove the alarm system from there. That said I had the dash out at the time
I don't mind taking the dash out again, I might have to in order to get the wiring sorted!
Hmm.. Maybe I should strip it out and turn it into a track car? Don't need indicators for that!!! (flinking stupid old school golf!!)
