Heater Matrix

quick question... is the radiator-looking thing that sits in front of the actual radiator a heater matrix? if so, is it a big deal if i do one of the two following things:
1: chuck it out or;
2: leave it in there even though its all bent up and dead looking, instead of replacing it

this is assuming i dont care if i have heating in the car

The heater matrix is in the car under the dash. The core in front of your radiator would be your aircon condensor.

unless u have an oil cooler fitted mate its your condensor. As the man says its under your dash mate.

remember if you are disconnecting Air con and it hasn't been de-gassed to be carefull. it under a bit of pressure too.
