Looks like a Mk1 heater box with a mk2 heater panel to me??
So the mkii interior conversion on the mki has got a few glitches, a sag, a squeak and the odd switch not connected, but the pressing thing I need help with is the heater control.
I have a suspicion either the controls I have are not for the face plate that is on the car or somehow it has not been affixed correctly.
I attach some supporting pics.
Here is the face plate that perfectly fits the hole and the fan switch.
Here is the controller, 2 sliders on top and one on the bottom.
And here is how it all looks to fit, but I'm not sure if I'm using the right screws. This being said it just does not appear as if it is the right part.
Any keen observers willing to tell me what's up?

Holy smoke, I uploaded that post from my iPhone - how massive are those pics!! Don't know how you saw anything preeny!
That MK1 comment was sort of was my thoughts as I cannot see how these sliders would screw to the dash frame.
I have fully pulled the cluster and bits out to prepare this to be fixed properly.

I did a MK2 dash in a MK1 years ago and used the heater sliders from the MK1 controls behind the MK2 panel. That fitted easy IIRC.
The car was featured in a magazine and no one clocked it, that I heard of.

MK1 face plate looks grim imo
You need to make a couple of small brackets to attach that slider panel behind the Mk2 dash.
You need a Mk1 slider to control a Mk1 heaterbox and a Mk2 panel to fit the dash conversion.
It was held in correctly when the car left me, so another stuff up to chalk up to the monkey that bought it off me.
The Mk2 has 2 sliders at the top and one at the bottom I think and so you will be missing one slider, but only a nerd would ever notice.
Hope that helps.
