    has anyone bent a drive shaft on their Mk2 ?

    just asking because my right side is spinning like an egg friggin annoying my build is almost done.

    if so how did you fix bar getting a new one from VW for 650 buks.

    perhaps get the DS balanced?? Not sure of the effect of loosing material off the DS would be though, but I wouldn't want to looose too much.

    They are the same as SEAT Cordoba or Ibiza GTI mate, come down and I`ll find you a sweet one. $80 with nice CVs??

    lol. i've bent one but not from having too much 20v power.

    (it was actually at like 135 degrees... )

    If something as important as a driveshaft was bent I'd be replacing it with no questions asked (I'd definitely interrogate the suspect driveshaft as to how the hell it got bent though! ) they're not completely unaffordable when new, and you'll find a second hand one anywhere! Like Loon said he'll have heaps.

    cool ok mate let me sort that out, its def bent tho!

    my shelf collapsed in my garage and i think the mk4 AC compressor landed on it or hit it

    Never bent any drive shafts here but the 16v ones "may" be stronger than 8v ones...

    lol. they're the same part number for the seats, mk2s and i'm not sure about mk3 4 stud... hmm?

    Mk3 driveshafts are too long. You need Mk2 or SEAT ones.
