Golf & Jetta floor pans

Hey all,

Looking at getting new seats for my mk2 golf. I've found the seats I want and am now looking at base brackets. I came across a set i like, only trouble is they are for a mk2 jetta.

I've always assumed the mk2 golfs and jettas have the same floor pan for driver and front passenger, am I wrong?

Basically what I want to know is: Are the seat mountings the same in both models? (front bolt & rails)

Any advice will be great,

i'd assume so, the only difference would be from the rear seat back... but i'm sure someone has a definite answer

rear bench is the only difference in the interior as well every part beyond that to the back bumper
