    Golf GTI Question

hi all. i ask this because i am usually hanging around the mk1s so it may seem silly, but...oh well.

are the standard MK2 Golf GTI's turbos or not as i may be buying one and need to know as i can;t drive a turbo on p's...

    thanks,
    tom.

I would have loved a MKII as my first car!!

Should be a fairly good car to learn your basic mechanicals on and you have the great website here to use for all your handy info!

I started on a 1974 beetle, which was a mix of good and bad!!

just think wet roads, rear engined rear wheel drive on P plates.. mmmmm

i was lucky enough to get one as my 2nd car. well i am still on my p's but i sold my old bmw to upgrade to a GTi.
Mostly in regards to fuel consumption.
But i would never classify a gti as slow. If i managed to lose my licence doing 170kmh. i wouldnt call that slow (that was still not pushing the car). And safe, i wouldnt know, never had an accident. but the greatest car to be in on your P's.
even after that you wont give it up
