Anyone?
Can the lock cylinder be removed from the glovebox door handle? How do you do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated (couldn't find anything on the Internet).
Hi guys,
Quick question: How do you remove the glovebox lock?
Cheers,
Dom

When you open the glove box, you'll be staring directly at the side of the lock mechanism.
To the bottom of this set-up, you'll see a 'tab' of plastic (the part circled in green), pull and wiggle this tab 'persuasively' with some pliers till it pulls out.
When you have the tab out, simply push the buttons (the area you push to open the glove box) and pull the mechanism through.
Once you have it out of the car, on the opposite end to were you insert the key, the will be a round metal thingy (end of the lock cylinder).
MAKE SURE THE KEY IS INSERTED INTO THE LOCK.
On either side, there will be 2 plastic tabs holding it in place (arrow's in red point to them), get 2 pins/somthing small, sharp and pointy and push the tabs outward.
Now simply push the round metal thingy (end of lock cylinder).
The cylinder should pop straight out.
Do NOT remove the key from the barrel, otherwise the mechanism/tumbler's may come apart, enducing rage, ect.
I am not responsible is any of said part's break.

Excellent! Thank you very much Ryan!
Will give this a try on the weekend. Also, managed to 'modify' all my locks to match the ignition lock (which was different) - this is the only one I wasn't able to remove.
Will be ready to place that GAP order pretty soon (if you're still interested).
Many thanks again, top write-up, as usual from you!
