    This sounds like a plan.

You need to take it somewhere where thay can swop in other parts to try and cure the problems.

I`d do it for you, buy Sydders is a bit far.

I`d find a local mob and go and have a chat with them. If they seem knowledgeable and keen to look at it, let em have a go at it.

I dont think driving an hour to the specialist is unreasonable. How big is Australia? And how many VW garages are there? Thus an hour is nothing really. It would be unrealistic to expect one at the end of your street.

Also surely its better to have the problem fixed and pay a bit of dough than to take it to lots of other places and throw random parts at it without fixing the problem. That is more of a waste of mooney.

I have customers that travel 1,2 ad sometimes more hours to come to me.
That is because they are saving money and getting the job that they want.

    Cheers mate.

I work 54hrs a week so finding time and energy is a bit hard.

I think ill take it to Volkswerke, its closer and they seem to be well recommended. I find that most places, especially the volksrepair or whatever it is in Airport West are D!*ks, smart arses to the max.
