I found I was replacing them constantly on my MK1 at the race track.

I tried OEM, OEM HD, OEM upgrade for Cat equipped cars, everything on the shelf at repco, supercheap etc.

    Eventually I upgraded to these.

Bahn Brenner Motorsport - Exhaust Hanger w/ Chain Insert

They're a stock replacement with a length of small bicycle chain cast into the rubber.

    No problems since.

Only just realized this is in the emkay2 section, sorry about that! Same shiz anyway.

Basically a straight pipe, so dunno if it's standard, I'm thinking it's missing something.

It was loud before, with a bit of crackling, but there was pretty rapid exhaust leak between the down-pipe and manifold.
I'm hoping that the volume and bushpig-steez were mostly because of the leak.

And Jarred, I made my own hook and pulled down with all my might! I get it so close, but just doesn't freaking want to!
Maybe if I drive it to a hoist, then use my entire body weight i might be able to stretch the rubber enough...
