Which one is the squish? the head or piston side? (Friggin typical.. just bolted the head together.. AGAIN!)
The bucket spun freely, but the friction of the oil was stopping it from spinning round.

Oh, sorry..
The squish is the flat section of the combustion chamber where the charge is forced out of, or "squished" into the centre.
I was mainly talking about the head. Those small burrs will get covered with carbon. Because of their position they can't dissipate the heat. The carbon can get very hot, to the point where it acts like a glow plug. This will cause pre ignition, or "pinging".

Nothing in the strainer, but the oil was a bit sludgey. Just had 10w40 in there for a bit, and changed it for 30w40 (High Mileage engine Oil). Seems to be better, though the buzzer came on briefly at 2k RPM, but is now temperamental. The oil pressure gauge at the top of the head is reading 2-3.5 bar at idle. I have a new oil pump to go in, but I'm going to wait and see what happens with this new oil.
Oil was browny green (Colour Blind) But it wasn't red! That's after about 300kms!!!
My Oil pressure light and buzzer keep coming on, I've disconnected the wire and earthed it. I have a new sender coming in, So I'll wait and see what happens.
