Thats a random post at a random time.

I have both in my car, one electric solenoid for the remote and the rest are vacum as original. Works great, only problem was a worn out electric solenoid once.

aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I see... c/l means Central Locking

I'm a little slow and was wondering what you were on about

Let us know how you go and what the cost it like. Sure it means an alarm + motors for each door, but it could be easier, cheaper and more reliable than fixing up a dodgy air system. Something I'm sure many people would be very interested in

ahhhh yes....my pump is dodgy as well...is on my list of things i want to fix up while i have the interior out, was going to just replace the pump but maybe electric system is the way to go. My pump sounds like its moaning about doing its job and can take up to 10 seconds to open/close all the locks.

Anyone got any ideas as to which aftermarket system might be any good?

Electric kits are good mate especially if you have two 5 wire solenoids for the fronts mate that way you can lock from either side. Yeah the old elec/pneumatic set up is old in the tooth now and is more trouble than its worth. I had a diagram somewhere for them. The only thing that can be a pain is the rods when you fit them. The wiring is really easy and the diagram is simple. Mate might be worth your while having it priced fitted as well ther is some competition out there mate
