    Door handle problem

My daughter is so frustrated with the Mk2 rear doors, I press the door handle all the way and still don't get that 'click' to open, now it's getting worst and worst I need to open the door from inside for her to get in.

I replaced one with new door handle but problem is the same, is there any thing can be adjusted ?

There should be an adjustable part on the inside of the door handle (Gold part in picture) when its off that you can adjust:

Check the latch rather than the door handle. I have found that this is usually a bigger problem rather than the handle.

Good question and useful answers! My red soot box is off the road with a list of things to do to it, and this has just jogged my memory! My driver's door is bad and I gotta do that to!

    Some good tips here.
Find it strange that its the rear handles your having trouble with, you would think they would get the least use?
My front handles, particularly the drivers door are shaged!

Same on my car, both the rear doors are harder to open / close than fronts and they make a "clink" sound. No big deal as they hardly ever get used.

Take the handles off again and have a look at the metal lever inside the door that the handle tab actuates. It may have snapped, or worn down so that the y-shaped rotating lever in the handle cant make contact with it.
I find the rears fail due to a LACK of use. They seize up and corrode, go brittle and shatter.
    just another possibility...

    Back to this problem.

Eventually I bought this Genuine Hella door handle pair eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d.

Woooo it works perfect, both rear doors open easily. Lesson learned, never buy cheap Chinese Mk2 door handle from ebay
